Cookies & browser storage

Initial draft · Updated October 17, 2026

No advertising or analytics trackers

The current public website does not set advertising cookies or load third-party analytics, tracking pixels, third-party video players, or remote font services. It emits local interface events but has no analytics destination connected. Photos, the promotional video, and fonts are hosted with the site.

Storage used by the public website

When you dismiss the storage notice, we save amanah.storageNotice.v1 in local storage with the dismissal date. It is used only to remember that choice for up to 180 days. It contains no form answers. You can reopen the notice from the footer or clear site storage in your browser. If storage is blocked, the site and forms still work and the notice may reappear.

If you pause the promotional video, we save amanah.promoVideo.paused.v1 in local storage so it does not autoplay on future visits in this browser. Selecting Play clears that preference. It contains no personal details and remains until you play the video or clear site storage. If storage is blocked, the pause preference lasts only for the current page.

Form answers remain in the current page while you complete the form and are sent to Convex on submission. They are not intentionally saved to local storage by this website. Your browser’s own autofill or password manager may retain details according to your settings.

Admin portal

The restricted admin portal uses Convex Auth browser storage for authentication and session continuity. This is separate from public-directory participation. The portal requires sign-in again after 30 minutes of inactivity. Activity timestamps are held on the server to enforce this limit. Use Sign out when finished, especially on a shared device. Clearing browser storage may sign you out.

Infrastructure and future changes

GitHub Pages and Convex process network requests to operate the service; this notice does not mean the service processes no technical data. See our privacy notice. No optional tracker is enabled by dismissing this notice. If optional tracking is introduced, we will update this page and provide any required controls before enabling it.
